The highlight of the Mission trip was to support AMA World outreach founded by Pastors Akin and Rita Akindejoye. This second phase of the trip to minister to the people in the community and offer the children in the villages to celebrate children’s day.
The women were also educated on how to use the thermometer as there has been high infant illness and complications resulting in children convulsing.
Prior to this time, many of the women attributed children convulsing and hallucinating due to high body temperature to demonic attack.
AMA world outreach has groomed and adopted many orphans or underprivileged children, some of whom have graduated from the universities and now leaving well in the community.
As it was children’s day a few days before, it was a good opportunity to minister to the children in the villages who would not have been able to participate and enjoy what their counterparts enjoyed in the city. They were given opportunity to have their own celebration in style, ministry of the word, dancing, quizzes and drama.
